activating phone message ?
ok,Ive a 3310,recently not being able to answer my calls,i want to activate my answering machine.How do I ? As Ive tried without sucess,asks for a certain number? Lost me!
If I can activate it,how can i leave the message for others to hear?

Hi, goto:
MENU
CALL DIVERT
DIVERT CALLS WITHOUT ANSWER,
slect option status, (it'll tell you if actiavted or not) (prob say no)
Then go back to activate, (it'll say something like 'requesting')
option mite come up saying insert voice mail box number (depending on ur network, the voicemail box number mite be different), but mine is 901, and has been known also on O2...
Type in 901, select enter, and see if it accepts is, if so, then its set-up (then you need to do a voice recording), if not setup, it's probably wrong voice mail box number, and would need to contact service provider for the number...

If you are on vodafone, there are some codes that you can type in to activate it too, makes life a bit easier, but if you are on orange PAYG, then you can't divert to voicemail.

unfortunately you cant specify conditional diverts on payg, its either divert unconditionally or diverts off.
to access ur voicemail from vodafone call 121 or put it in ur voicemail settings.
if u wanna know ur exact voicemail box number, press
*#104# send. once u have personalised ur voicemail greeting (in the voicemail automated menu options) u can give people ur voicemail box number to leave u messages without having to give them ur real number. (if u do this before personalising ur greeting, the caller while hear ur mobile fone number anyway so kinda pointless)

Right, here are the codes, just dail them as a normal number;

1211 - Activates voicemail
1210 - De-activates voicemail
1212 - Diverts ALL calls to voicemail
1213 - Reverts to standard divert (Phone turned off, out of signal range etc.)
1218 - Selects text message alert for new voicemail
1219 - Selects alert and deliver for new voicemails (That's where the voicemail will keep ringing your phone to let you know you have a new message, and when you answer, will put you through to your mailbox.
1588 - Selects 'Wicked welcomes' (Which is a celebrity voicemail, but I think there is an extra fee for this.)

If you want to ring your voicemail, just dail 121. Hope this helps!

Yep, all these lot have told u how to do it. But careful wiv Vodafone cos I've had past experience with them, they say they don't charge for voicemail but I've spent £5 trying to record a message once soooooooo be careful..:D
