Hmmm ok,righty here goes ..........
Is there any chance you can get a text message when recieving email........it would be on a msn account( I think),im asking for a friend as she did ask me,wasnt sure if possible !!!!!!!!:rolleyes:

not sure i got ur question...recieving a email onto a mobile phone, aswell as recieving a text message aswell..?:afro:

yea,er..can u get an alert to ya mobile phone on recieving an email?? think thats what she ment,if u r away from computer,can an alert be sent to say u have email.NOT email to mobile..lol.........sounds weird i know,but can it be done ??

You can but I don't think there's any free ones knocking about. Some Internet Service Providers offer what you're looking for. Tiscalli for example.
I'm pretty sure Yahoo! and Lycos used to but I think they've discontinued now.
You can buy PC programs which let you do advanced SMS message things. Like monitor the pop email account, server, guestbook or whatever and send a txt message alert along the ping-pong channel. (so it's not saved in the fones memory).
They're expensive though as they're aimed at business users.

im not sure if this is exactly what u mean but....
if ur a t-mobile cust and u set-up a t-mobile email a/c,
whenever u receive a new email, u receive an sms to ur fone with the email details.
unfortunately ur charged at ur usual sms rate for each sms received.

CBFMail @ www.cbfmail.com offer free SMS alerts to your mobile when you receive email. It tells you who its from and what the subject is.
Unfortunately CBFMail is closed to new registrations :P Looks like you've missed the boat, for now! still, its worth keeping an eye on.
