I recently downloaded some films too large for conventional 700meg CDR's so i thought......no problem il just buy some 800meg ones as i have heard they exist, but how wrong i was.
Apparently you need firware updates on your CDRW drive to make them compatible with the cdr's, just typical of PC's they dont like making things easy do they!
I have nero 5.5 but couldnt enable the overburn function (even though my mats_hita drive enables it) or get it compatible with 800 meg cdr's
So in the end i turned to a good friend called WINRAR, which i recommend to compact files. Films just over 700 meg eg 706-7 compacted to 700 fine, and even films near 800 were just split into 2 files on winrar so i could get it on 2 cd's and free my hardrive,
Im sure all you adept computer fans know this already but it was impressive to me ;)
