Are you using netscape on windows?
Is there a broken picture icon, a wee red X or just nothing at all?

It sounds a little like a connection problem. I get that when there's too many people on the same dialup as me.
Did you try turning off images in the browsers internet options? It should show all buttons as textlinks.
If your connection speed's fine apart from the graphics then try reinstalling IE.
Or better still download Netscape or Mozilla as they're free and more stable. (If you do you'll have to reinstall Javascript seperately to get the likes of chat to work)
Just out of curiosity...what happens if you click on a .jpg or .gif picture stored on your hard drive? It should open them with IE...

Well, c, i nomally have a slow connection anyway (with a 28.8kbps modem....) & to download anything else would take... well..... to long.
Yeah i tried turning images, didnt do anything tho.
& when I click on an image in my hard drive it opens up in paint shop pro, not in the browser....
this sucks

Wow thats one thin connection! I think it's just a bandwidth problem.
Did you try disconnectiong and then dialing up again?
Sometimes your provider will trim your bandwith down to nothing with no explination but it's usualy open again in a few hours or at the latest by the next day. How longs this been going on?

hmmm, i was on on thursday night.. it was fine... came on on friday & 2da & its been like this. Although it looks like it could b my isp messin up... Im with btinternet & they cut u off after like 2hour or sumit.... (4 sum reason its usually 1+1/2hours 4me).... its not goin at 2hours 50mins... so im thinkin it could just b a lot of ppl are stayin connected for long & this is slowing it down.... yes? no?
Although, i do remember on thursday I connected to my ftp site for the 1st time in... well 4 the 1st time maybe its decided 2 mess around with my connection?
Oh i duno:(

The FTP sites nothin related. Same connection different port...
If you ring BT on 150 and ask them to put you through to internet support they can give you a service announcement freefone number which plays a recording if theres any maintainance or problems happening with your dialup.
I doubt it's a problem with your PC as the only thing that mite cause that would be memory leak problems or dodgy video drivers. But if PSP is handling graphics okay and your dektop isn't crashing then this aint the case.
I think it's BT messin wit the man again to tell the truth...

Not really I'm afraid. They're all throwing their money into broadband. And rightly so...
I go with independant companies as they tend to put a bit more oomph into customer service and answerability.
I moved from BTopenworld dialup to an ISP package offered by my local supermarket fir example. :D
It's only screwed up once and they sorted it rite away, keeping me informed at each step.

I' just like to add that my mentioned account with TESCO does in fact suck.
They accidently killed my account, erased by emails and put up a CLID block on all my access numbers. Then proceeded to faff me around for a week before admitting an error.
Right then it's the broadband fir me by Hola!

Thats screwy, but at least u can get broadband. I'm stuck with this tiny modem which (according to that connection speed test thingy on da net) is connected at 16kbps...
