Sony Ericsson T300

Does anyone else have a sony ericsson t300 and has problems downloading the polytones? mine always says there was an error in the communication please contact your wap provider or try again and i contacted o2 and it still doesn't work.:mad:

the problem is your phone :D

it will only allow you to download 3KB at one time

and most if not nearly all our polytones are above the 3KB limit for your T300

why dont u complain to them and say your limit of 3KB at a time is Pants :rolleyes:

if the sony ericsson T300 can only download 3KB the can you make a list of all of the polyphonic ringtones that are 3KB and under?!?!

so far i have downloaded: 50 cent in da club, nas i can, and nelly and kelly dilemma

the t300 can handle downloads bigger than 3kb easily, i download a 28kb tone eariler from another site though.

i think it has someit to do with the server or the network?

a 28kb polytone Yeah Right :s

what did u download onto it 4 tracks from an Album :p

i think that 28kb is more likely to be what the phone can actually hold at once

and we have tested it on afew and all the tones under 3kb work and download fine , all the ones above Dont , so dont that tell you something lalalala

if u have a T300 exchange it for a Nokia :eatme:

after all you wouldnt have been able to play it all the way though before the voicemail cut in, it was actaully a whole midi song rather than a polyphonic ringtone

andy yeah it does take up most of the phones space considering that t300 has about 400kb free tops:fight:

i just found a 50kb one didnt donwnload it via wap though, got it via the infrared

yeah i think you'll find you can only download 3k at a time via WAP before your phone times out. that's definitely the case on this site anyway, and cbfmobile have no plans to adjust their system to suit every poly phone on the market :(

does anyone know where i can download some polytones to my pc? then i can infra red them to the phone.

try changing the WAP settings you are using. If you go
to www.sonyericsson.com and use "Phone Configurators" you will be able to
select different WAP settings which will be sent to your handset via SMS. This
may resolve your issue as some networks have limits on the files sizes you can
download.

how do you get infrared to work and where did u get your tone from ? thanks !

got some the tones from www.cubwolf.co.uk in a zip file and some from other places, just try a search.

to use the ir just turn it on and point the ir port of the phone at the ir port on the pc and it might reconise it as another comp and then u just hit send to another computer. :p


however if it does not reconise the phone goto www.clubsonyericsson.com and download the software from there.

i forgot to mention your need to have a pc with an infrared port or a usb ir apaptor, some laptops have it built in, perticularly the older ones
