:D lol

nope never used any P2P stuff, cause downloading copyrighted material is against the law everyone knows that, in fact up till last week I didn't even know what an mp3 was, but I've heard that you can download films and stuff from P2P but I don't know if its true or not

an mp2 is just an audio file with slightly less compression than an mp3. it was just the format that came before mp3. mp1 is another example

and the new1, just released not long ago is mp4. which lets you compress it a lot without losing too much quality so it is suitable for streaming

i also recently discovered a much better format called ogg. these files are, for example 'benny benassi - satisfaction.OGG' instead of 'benny benassi - satisfaction.MP3' (sorry for the example!)

most new/free audio players will play ogg files, WinAmp2, WinAmp3 and Windows Media Player v8+ included (might need to download a plugin)

a 128kbps, 44100Hz mp3 file (that's just below CD quality) of 'Benny Benassi - Satisfaction' is 3.30mb

a 45kbps, 44100Hz ogg file of 'Benny Benassi - Satisfaction' is 1.53mb

and there is NO difference in quality between the two. not that's detectable to the human ear anyway. im considering converting my whole mp3 collection of around 2,000 songs to ogg format so itll take up about a third of the space. problem is, my portable mp3 player doesnt play ogg files

p2p is Peer to Peer... like on Kazaa where you're sharing files with other users...

And we all know you love Eminem! So :p
