Aargh!! Ma fone has died!

Rite i recently (2 months ago) bought a nokia 3510i. Its bin working great until last week when, after i recharged it, it wouldnt turn on. Anyone ken the cause of this? I went bak to where i bought it (phones4u) and they sent it back to nokia to be fixed. Now im stuck with my old 3310 for a month :(. im just curious as to what the cause is. i reckon its the battery but wat do u phone experts think eh?

2 months ago, then hopefully it shldn't of been a siftware fault, how long did you leave charger in for??
charger is controlled by UEM, which incoperates CCONT / CHAPS
CCONT the powering up, may of gone short / open...
did phone still charge even thou it dint power up?
I would not think its the battery, probably a internal fault...3510i faults are horrible as the IC chips are glued to the board, and cannot be removed / placed...
just wait to see what nokia's comeback is....

it was a software problem so they've upgraded the software. Took 8 days :D

Well played mate I suspect you'll say wow a good many times before the day is over, you'll want to have a look HERE (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/yuppos7650/) and HERE (http://my-symbian.com/main/index3.php?cat=3) theres also a bit about the new version of the 3650 platform on that second link its the 3660 which is basically a 3650 with a normal keypad layout and a 65k screen and its due out pretty soon enjoy. :)

PS you'll also want to get a bluetooth adapter for your PC for transferring stuff to and from your phone, if you enter "bluetooth" into the search box HERE (http://www.scan.co.uk) you'll find one for bout £15 that will do perfectly :D

I like the look of the Nokia 3660, i own a 3650 and its gr8 just the way it is the keypad was a bit annoying 2 get to grips with, but i found that for txing it was best to use both hands to cover half of the keypad each side.

Mullet of G how come most of the links u put up link to this My-Symbian page and when i actualy click the link i get nothing to do with anything thats just been talked about?

and doesnt the 3650 have a 65k screen anyway? or is it 4069 or summin like that?

The 3650 has a 4096 colour screen.

The only difference between the 3650 and the 3660 is the 35k screen an the keypad. You'd think they might have inculed mp3 software or something better with it...

the link is to the My-Symbian series 60 mainpage and the reason it now bears no relevance to the post is because the 3660 info was a news feature which is no longer on the mainpage, although I'm sure with a little initiative you could probably find said articles in a few seconds so everything is not lost as it were. :)

Ive found an mp3 player download for 3650 and 7650 fones its on
www.tagtag.com/bimboom, i think its under the warez section, i aint tried it yet but if its good it might b time to buy a new mmc card.
