They are both audio formats battling it out to try and take over from the trusty cd, as expected they both sound pretty lush and there isn't really much between them, although SACD was developed by Sony and Philips which means they are about the only people really supporting the format, , a lot of SACD's will play in a normal cd player due to them being dual layer disks (1 layer SACD and the other CD) but they will sound much like normal cd's, DVD-A disks can also be played in standalone dvd players but a DVD-A player is needed to make any real use of them.

I guess you're one of those people who sees the difference between DVD and VHS quality... s'the same if y'ask me, same with any kind of audio things, CD, cassette... all the same to me.

Note
Just before I get it in the neck as usual for the above comment I'd like to stress the to me part. You probably think dirfferent, but notice I said to me, not in general.

lol if you mean me then yup I sure do, especially when it comes to music I aint gonna murder tunes I love by playing them through a cheap stereo, on the other hand I'd listen to music out of a tin can if I had nothing else to listen to it on as music is what makes life worth living :D
