I don't think anyone really cares if they ban smoking in pizza hut or not its not really a big issue people go there to eat not smoke, I personally don't eat pizza so it doesn't effect me, I think the only people that will be remotely bothered about it are the folk that whinge about passively inhaled smoke whilst driving about in a wreck of a car thats spewing noxious smoke out all over the place, you gotta love em :p

I think a lot of families with children go to Pizza Hut aswel as adults so i dont think its really fair to smoke in places like that. If people want to eat and smoke then they should go somewhere else like a pub or resturant.

Well, being a non-smoker myself i am cool about this whole smoking ban thing. Especially in places where you go to eat. It makes me wanna puke when your eating n all of a sudden someone lights up a ciggy! I hate it when people smoke around me, not just in places to eat!

The problem isn't people smoking its that there are far to many whinning sissy's these days threatening to puke at the mere sight of someone smoking, unfortunately modern society is breeding a generation of do gooder social sissy's, people just aren't built of stern enough stuff these days, you didn't hear people 50 years ago going "oooh this chimney is to confined I can't sweep it" or "ooooh the smoke is too much I'm gonna be sick" they just got on with it instead of taking the attitude of "if you don't do it whinge about it" personally I don't smoke before I eat but I don't care less if anyone else does, infact if I'm out for a meal I couldn't care if the guy at the next table suddenly exploded into a heap of smoking pulp, I'm there to eat and eat is what I'm gonna do regrdless of what anyone else is doing around me. :p

LMFARO Bunners quality, and yeah the babys and toddlers may be smoke free in Pizza hut but the minute they get in the car to go home there parents if they are smokers and millions are will probably be only to glad to light up and give them a free lungfull of smoke, I've seen it time and time again, you can't save em all I'm afraid. :)

They should ban smoking in public full stop, instead of designated places where it's prohibited, have little boxes with holes to breath where people can go to smoke. All cramped up, with the smoke circulating around so they know how it feels to have someone elses crap blown in your face by some inconsiderate moron. The boxes would have to cost too, you gotta put a pound in to unlock the door and get in, then another one to unlock it to get out, people will have to queue too...

Read my post again wise ass, I wish death upon people who smoke in public! Just because I smoke, doesn't mean I do so in public does it?

Oh, and that's acctually not been updated in a while, I gave up a while ago, it was painstakingly easy after roughly four to five months, addiction my butt, low self esteem if you ask me...

When I started, I vowed not to do it in public, and if I did, then find a very discreet are without others around me, consideration I call it.

And besides, even if I did smoke, I still wouldn't want my food, or fresh air destroyed by somebodys smoke.

No, I'm glad I started to be honest.

I'll explain; the reason I started was as part of a li'l standalone, individual phsychology project I decided to do by myself.

There's too much I don't understand understand about people, and society as a whole, along with a few things that just bothered me.

One of those things was "addiction"; I'd never known what it was like to crave something, to want it so bad you get major pissed off if you don't get it A.S.A.P. So I decided (stupidly) to take up smoking.

Ad it happened, I didn't get addicted, I felt I cou;d easily stop as I wished, but it did help me to see something else. I'll admit I did feel slightly more grown up when taking a pull of a cigarette... also people would come up to me and ask for a cigarette and, instead of saying I don't smoke; I'd hand one over, a lot of times a ittle conversation would spark from there, mainly about boring stuff, but at least I felt a little better about society; people can talk to strangers as freinds.

My conclusion is that people who start young, only do it to fit in, or to look "cool". Feel free to argue, it's just my opinion.

I'd also like to add that, so long as you have enough self esteem and will, giving up can be a peice if cake...

yup yup well said that man, its pretty much what I was saying earlier we've gone from being a country who was famed for its "business as usuall" attitude through the world wars to being a nation of do gooder sissy's, instead of either just getting on with it or takling real problems todays society would rather just whinge about meaningless trivia instead as it doesn't want to get its hands dirty takling real issues, I mean passively inhaling cigarette smoke is the least of your worries in this modern age of polutants and poisons, people who don't smoke seem to think they have the god given right to lecture people who do, well heres something that may surprise them they don't and its about time they realised that.

It doesn't seem like we're gonna reach an agreement here, non smokers see things through their point of veiw, and smokers see them through their's...

As long as both groups exist, there'll always be this conflict, no matter what laws or bans are brought in. I'm not withdrawing my tirade against public smoking, just saying that this thread's not going to stop them, only make everyone angrier, it seems that people are getting annoyed with and by each other on both sides of the argument.

lol quality as I said before no one can possibly put a figure on how many people die a year from passively inhaled smoke, but I'd be willing to bet its a lot less than the number they band about in all them naff smoking statistic things, the only reason so many people moan about passively inhaled smoke is cause it was proved you can't catch aids off a toilet seat and they now have nothing else to moan about, and much like aids and toilet seats I think people need to look at the facts and not the ones that are sponsored by the government or anti smoking agencies, the facts where I'm standing are that I don't know anyone who has died as a result of smoking and I know hundreds of people, I may just be lucky but on a wider scale I don't know anyone who knows anyone whos died as a result of it either, I think people need to look to whats happening around them instead of being led by statistics that bear little or no relevance to whats actually going on in the world.

em you might want to read my post again as you don't seem to have grasped what I was saying, and you've now gone off on a tangent as a result, I was at no point implying that aids and cancer were related in any way, I was merely suggesting that a lot of the people moaning about passive smoking are just moaning for the sake of moaning about something, and if at some point its proved that passive smoking isn't harmfull they'll just find something else to moan about instead, luckily I have my moan descriminator set to high so I don't have to endure the daily tedium :p
