Hi....I posted a thread on polyphonic tones support earlier because my phone was saying GPRS connection not available everytime I tried to use the internet on it.So I have been playing about with it all day trying to see what the problem was and now I have sorted that one I am on Vodafone and it was set to T-Mobile for active service settings so i have changed this to Set 2 (hopefuly I have done right).
Now when I try to enter a web address it says check IP address.
Can anybody give me anymore advice please?
Thanks!!

It doesn't need updating! It just needs to be activated! You can usually activate it through the internet site (like I did with my o2 sim!) but it looks like the site is down at the moment!

yes it will need to be activated by vodafone customer services for gprs wap access but u should be able to access wap via dial-up (different settings) without speaking to vodafone.
