dont think so.

the t610 is a camera phone, has lots of speical things, internal memory of 2mb 65k colour screen etc and a screen where as soon as its revealed to sunlight, you cant see a thing.

the t68i i dnt really know about, i gather it has a colour screen, but im pretty sure it has no camera.

take a look over on sony-ericsson's website if ya want more info :P

T68/I Has a colour screen, monophonic tones that you can only enter via keypress or IR Port. and there is a plug in camera but it is Pants.

T68/I has also got what is widely regarded as the poorest quality colour screen ever manufactured it weighs in at an eye popping 256 colours thus making it absolutely useless for taking photos with, the T610 is slightly better on the other hand it has as Death Marine says a 65k coloured screen thats highly allergic to sunlight, it also takes low resolution photo's at the wrong oreintation that look pretty unispiring when viewed on a PC.

T68 on the left and T610 on the right, picture does not take into account scale that is I just stuck 2 random images together without any regard to scale :D

yeah Ericsson need to get the size down a bit, the actual phone doesn't feel that sturdy either considering its obvious bulk, and I've just seen the P900 Ericssons next offering and its exactly the same bloody size lol, add to that it doesn't look like they've managed to sort the keypad problems, the P800 keypad was dire and had a really cheap calculator feel to it, the P900 does have T9 predictive text though which was bizarely missing on the P800.

I think as technology graduates to higher levels the phones get smaller, so id wait for a little while lol

Basically the T610 is way better than the T68i. But if you plan to get it at a l8r date i would suggest waiting for the T630. The l8r model. Looks better than the T610.

does that mean the screen needs replacing or does it mean that the screen will work again once u turn it away from the the sunlight??

Just angle it so the sun isn't on it... that phone gets lots of glare... but, i tried a T630 and it still had that glare probably, but weren't as bad...

Nah, just move the phone away from direct sunlight otherwise they'd be the most rubbish phones if they broke as soon as sunlight goes on it!

BTW - My T610 has nothing wrong with the screen. It's perfectly readable even in the brightest sunlight - MUCH more vivid than my 7210.

I'm not sure where this myth came from, but it is exactly that - a myth.

My T610 is the best phone I've owned to date. It's tiny, very sturdy, plays CBF polys beautifully, has a great camera, dazzling screen, bluetooth, IR, and a host of other great features. Voice clarity is excellent and battery life is about 10 days with intermittent use for me.

The T630 has a midly improved spec, but I wouldn't be seen dead with one ;) Holding the two side by side in the shop, the T610 looks far better. Everything about the T610, including the buttons and nav stick, have a really great solid feel that won't be rivalled in a phone of the same class for a while.
