I'm sorry if I come across as a little dumb but I have a few questions about my Nokia 6100 which is on Virgin Mobile, I hope someone can help me.

Firstly, my friend sent me an MMS today but instead of receiving the picture he sent I got a web address to retrieve it. Is there any way of changing the settings to actually the receive the MMS rather than just an address?

Secondly I went to reply with an MMS but when I went to send it wouldn't let me and said to check MMS settings, I have no idea what's wrong here, any ideas?

And thirdly! When I try to connect to WAP more often than not I'm told that a connection is not avaliable which is a pain as I want to download ring tones off this site but I'm now not able to!

Thanks for reading :)

i know the answer (well i think i do) to the first Q. I have that too with my 7210 and apparently its cos you have to ring up a number and ask them to set your phone to the settings or go into a local phone shop....
Apparently anyway.....

to send and receive mms (photo messages etc) there are 2 things that u need...

1. you need the feature activated on ur account/sim. you need to call your network to do this. you cannot do it yourself.

2. You need a set of correct mms settings stored and activated on ur handset. You can get these sent to u via a text message from ur network or the nokia website (2nd option is only for nokia fones obviously) or u can enter them manually.

The bad news im afraid is that virgin mobile do not support mms (although im not 100% about this). Best to give them a call and check.

Only other option is to get another sim card on a different network im afraid :(

Yeah Turbodiesel you are right, Virgin do not support MMS. I'm also with Virgin and emailed them a few months back asking about MMS and they replied saying at the moment their network doesn't support it but they are updating all the time and might support it in the future.

Thank you all for your help. I rung up Virgin Mobile and they said they'd be launching their MMS service in the spring and they'd send out information at that time.
