Kazaa Kwestion

Why do kazaa searches turn out different results each time? Is it something to with the people you are downloading form, like, they have to be on kazaa for their download to show or something..?

Mainly due to people logging on/off the internet....it can only search/download from a user while they are online.

That sucks... Now I need to be online real late because if I want to download Japanese music like Malice Mizer, I'll have to do it when they're online and, correct me if I'm wrong but, aren't they eight hours behind us?

for full movies search "TMD" and make sure u download the two parts - part 1 and part 2 of the movie

TMD do crap quality movies, don't bother with them. Whatever film you search for, put dvd at the end, i.e. harry potter dvd, and most of the results should be dvd quality. Also try putting divx at the end, but you may need to download a codec to play these movies.

if your having problems playing movie files ie divx movies search on kazaa under software for "nimo" its a codec pack that will alow you to play pretty much any movie, try to get build 8 if possible, you may also need to get an XVID codec for playing XVID files, do not download the XVID codec if you do not have anti virus software as a few of them are infected, also if you want to download films ie The Two Towers (screener dvd rip) Gangs of New York (screener dvd rip) or 8 Mile (screener dvd rip) and pretty much any other film then avoid kazaa like the plague as its full of Frances Drakes and non working files, goto the link provided below and download emule from the top right hand corner, if you look about on this page you will find what you are looking for then just click it and it'll download thru emule, no fakes and all files are usually pre checked before they are posted, be patient with the site as you may get "the page not found" screen a few times but its worth the tedium. :)

just checked kazaa there and the file your downloading is a fake, its Half Baked, which is probably a far better film imo, but not the one your looking for, see my previous post about emule & Sharereactor, you'll find a dvd rip of it there and an SVCD version which you can play in a dvd player. :)

I know the one on kazaa is a fake cause if you click the pluss sign next to the file when you search for it, it has more than one name, and Half Baked is a lot older than xXx so by powers of deduction its most likely to be Half Baked, ok on sharereactor just click add all files (if you are using emule you will need to go into preferences and under general clck ED2K links box in bottom right corner) right onto how you use bin and cue files, you need to use Nero to burn the images, open Nero click compile new cd then other cd formats, then click create cd from an image file, it'll now open up a box were you can locate the folder containing your files, you should only be able to see the cue files click on the said cue file and it will start to burn, just repeat this untill all disks are burnt which in this case will be 3 times, minding not to burn the same one 3 times. :)

no edonkey is wash, look in the top right hand corner of the main page at Sharereactor and download emule and follow the guide in my last post to download and burn your file. ;)

lol quality, ok I'll try and think of an easier way to explain the bit about clicking "add all files" lol download them all, there is 6 files 3 of them are bin files (containing the movie file) and 3 cue files (containing the data that Nero uses for burning the bin files) you need all of them, so unless your on broadband its gonna take a fair while to download them all like about a year lol :p

ok its gonna take you a fair while to download it then, right emule is just like kazaa, its just a program that allows you connect to others and download things, only difference is that you need to connect to a server, you'll want to copy and paste this http://ed2kmet.x24hr.com/pl/slist.pl into the "update server .met from url" box on the servers screen then click update, click on a server that isn't full and Bobs yer aunty :)

theres a colum on the servers page saying how many users are on the server and in brackets next to that it'll have the max number of people that can be on at once.

Hmm not sure why its downloading so slow, guess its prolly cause its a fairly cack film and not that many people have it. or could be that you've got too many simultanious conections this could also be whats slowing down your pc, goto preferences and under conections lower the number in the two boxes provided, or just get Blueyonders 1 meg service as I'm cruising at 120 Kbs on Ghost Ship The Ring and About Shmidt :)

on the server page theres a box at the top right with "New server" then under that it says "IP or address" well under that theres a box just copy and paste the IP I put in my last post into it, taking into acount it might take a wee while to get on it as its pretty busy :)

yeah even if they are full give them a try, I think the server stats only update every 15 mins or so, so there may be space to get on if it says its full, also people leave so just keep trying :)

Ive joined that server im on 129k broadband and all im getting is 3k at max

you'll just have to wait for it connecting to sources which takes a wee while sometimes, its still gonna take you a while tho as you'll only be able to download at 16 kbs max

erm did you adjust the max connection settings? you should be seeing at least 200 sources per file :eek:

What does the asking mean? how come when it says connecting it doesnt actually connect?

when it says asking it is asking the server what parts of the file the other person has, ok the connecting bit when it says connecting its just connecting to the other persons pc, once it does connect you will join the queue of people already downloading from this source hence the reason it doesn't just start downloading, after the connecting bit it'll usually change to on queue or no needed parts etc.

ok well the most i get is about 3 hosts but normally its 1
