bluemoon...go in2 the messages menu on ur fone. scroll through and look for message center number. get a pen and paper and write the number down. now delete the number from ur fone and replace it with the free smsc and save it. now go back to the start and send a sms. it will be free :)
when it stops working, go back and put ur original number that u wrot down back in.

However I entered the new message centre number and sent three separate people an sms.The message said it had been sent and true no money had been taken from my pre-pay account but non of the three received my sms.

Ok it seems like it works for everybody else so I guess somewhere along the line it must be me.

This is what i've got......

I've got a Nokia 3310 pay as you go mobile with 02.

Now what I have been trying is this.

I go into my messages folder and then scroll down to message settings.I then have four options...02 SCP1....SET2...SET3...COMMON.

Which ( or all maybe ? ) setting do I change the message centre number in ?

I have managed to sort it......delete the 0 from the persons number and add +44.I sent a sms from 02 to another network as well.Took about ten minutes to receive.

Works instand with me the ONLY problem that i get is if i try 2 send 1 to the network VIRGIN as that is the only network that wont recive the message all other networks has been delivered and instant for me...........but you have to put +44 b4 the number you are txtin and drop the 0 from it........

A little question - I have an O2 online simcard (300 free txt + wap etc) I use free smsc when my messages run out, but they havent run out yet - so if i use these free smsc's untill it stops working will it automatically deduct it from my monthly allowance or will it not affect it? You see i was planing to use the free smsc whilst it was working then go back to my proper one later in the month and use the rest of my free txt... can anyone confirm this? cheers. :)

i agree wiv simply rich, loadsa my mates who used 2 use free smsc's hav had ther sim blocked by o2 recently. some of em hav rang o2 n been told that they hav 2 pay 2 hav ther sims unblocked.

its jus alot easier not using em, n wats that point wen o2 hav been giving away free sims wiv 300 free txts a month

They give them away for FREE remember. So why not use the free centre numbers while theyre workin? Theres **** all to lose.

U usually need 2 hav credit in yar fone, and also need 2 be on O2 as the numbers only work on O2 fones.
the number above might not be workin cuz it might now be barred, so sorry....
