Nokia 7600 review

I borrowed my sisters Nokia 7600 for a week and tried it out

There is my brief summary

PROS
Nice Radical Shape
29MB Memory
High speed mobile net 384kb/s

CONS
No Video Calling
Kinda awkward to hold
Is inferior to other 3G phones

The Nokia 7600 is a fashion phone but It feels awkward to uses when calling.
The problem with 3 UK is that there is no full WAP like on O2 or Vodafone, which pulls down the Nokia 7600 even worse
The 29MB memory is alot especially for taking pictures,videos and Polyphonics and Java games.

Seems like a fair review - the phone is definitely weakened by being on Three. At least it is available on other networks now.

Its older brother the http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0,1522,,00.html?orig=/phones/7610 should be making a splash soon. Looks like they've ditched making this one WCDMA compatible - what a shame ;)

I think the elongated shape will sell much better... I think this will have similar appeal to the 7650 and am excited to see how it performs.

its gotta be said 29mb of memory totally sucks and worse still it has no MMC support so you can't even add extra memory, I'm hearing you on the 7650 appeal Ben but I'm just not liking the left hand drive design of the 7610, also its worth noting that its not a 3G phone, iterestingly I heard it wont have MMC support but it will instead have MMMC support which are Micro MMC cards that is they are about a 3rd of the physical size of an equivalent MMC card :D

Yeah that issue is a shame, meaning i couldnt use my 128mb MMC in it, but it does come with a 64mb MMMC free. was it 16 or 8mb phone memory?

Well, smaller has to be a good thing, even though it's going to upset a few people with a lot of stuff on the old style cards.

I'm also hoping a few different colours will emerge - the one on the nokia site looks ok imho but the black and red one I saw posted somewhere else was shocking ;)

Lol, how off topic are we....

I think the brown/white one looks a bit tacky myself ;)
Im sure they'll release different colours, and the features more than make up for the left hand style in my opinion :p
