"profiles"on nokia 3310?

ok ive looked at the handbook on profiles,im still a bit unsure.my friend said u can change tone setting for messages recieved from this(profiles))instead of standard peep.or ascending.ive EMPTY sections,what can i do with these,can i get tones to fill in there,if so.where from?
Ideally i was wanting to chance the recieved message tone,can i do it threw this ??

Menu - Profiles (12) -Select (empty) - personalise - Change name (anything u want) change ringing tone, message tone etc..

yea i know that...what i wanted to know is.how my friend has a ringtone for her incomming messages,than the standard beep,ascending etc !!!

you cant do that on 3310 !! still have to use, beep once etc etc, you cant assign a tune / tone to specfic people in ure phone book, soz

some phones can - like ones u can record voice messages on.
