i thought they were good, up until today.....

the PIN code had mysteriously changed from what i had set it to, so i entered what i thought it was and the sim needed a PUK, so i phoned them up.... got put on hold for 10 mins  only for my call to be answered and i was asked about what i needed help with, so i said that i needed a PUK code, so the girl asked me for the number, i gave it to her, she then asked me for my name, so i gave her that too.... then she told me that i cant have the PUK because it is registered in my mums name when she hasn't even been on Virgin (but i have, and i registered the sim the day i got it, in my name). so after a bit more chat, the call was ended, i then sat there and thought: "hmmm, i'm going to sort this"

so i went upstairs to my pc, went onto virginmobile.com and started to login with the number and passcode i made up when i registered the account (in my name), it wouldn't log in, so i went to reset the passcode, but it kept telling me the customer care centre password is incorrect (when i set it myself when i registered, and i dont EVER forget stuff like that...) and now, it just says web access to that account has been disabled....

The Conclusion

it seems that i have wasted 15 mins of my time trying to make the thing work again, on the phone & online. so now i'm stuck with a "locked from web access account" and a useless sim (just a spare), so i've now binned it :D

What Happens Now

That's 1 network i wont be touching again, Virgin
T-Mobile & Orange i might have a go at.....
Tesco, EasyMobile & Fresh (CPW) i wont be touching :D

Maybe consider an Orange 3G contract when they launch...

Annoying experience by the sound of it - apart from that, was your service from Virgin any good?

if i test T-Mobile and Orange, i'll use my old 3410 thru the testing stages, then if they pass, i'll move which ever one i tested to my main fone and O2 to the 3410....
