after following bens excellent guide i managed to go through the tone steps.session status ok,texts received,tones sent.but i didnt get them,clicked on options so as to change gateway but there was no change gateway button.is it just me getting these probs:(

many thanx sonicsiss,after making a few phone calls i have found out the nokia 8310 has a particular gateway different to other nokias.im afraid its trial an error to find the right 1.

change gateway button should be there... just checked.

8310 will work fine with the normal service.

yes ur right ben but these things happen u dont get nowhere without trying.seems i was misinformed on the gateway issue because no 1 worked fine.:) now to try sending a tone to my m8,heh heh:D here we go again
