Is thsi really possible? My 6680 is DCT 4 right? But that cant be unlocked?

Is it a joke or some twisted virus?

Can someone check for me? I cant download .jad files, dunno y i used to be able to. I can only dowload the .SIS files, im trying to get this sorted at the moment

The Nokia 6680 is BB5, not DCT4. There is no unlock solution available other than via the network from which you purchased the phone.

Just for emphasis... there is no unlock solution for the 6630, 6680 or N70 available yet. ;)

Thanks thats what i thought! How much would an unlock code cost from Voda then? Considering its on contract?

Don't think they're too bad... about £20? You'd have to ring up to find out for sure, there's no guarantee that everyone gets the same price.

youve gotta be out of contract though or the network can apply extra charges or refuse to unlock

I think Vodafone is actually as cheap while in-contract, but as I said you'd have to call up to find out exactly what the deal is for your circumstances. The most expensive network is, afaik, Three at over £100.

so i might not even be able to get it unlocked whilst still on my contract?

my dad's upgrades from voda are always unlocked tho!

I've never written a single cancellation letter, I've cancelled all of my contracts via the comments box on the networks home page, never had any problems doing so either. As to unlocking your phone I can't see it costing any more than £20, I unlocked my 6630 which is also BB5 from T Mobile it only cost £15 and I was in the first month of my contract, haven't used that T Mobile sim since and I've had it almost 11 months lol. :D
