i had 2 come this mornin. so i thought i'd try one in my Samsung E350 (bought on O2 from Phones4U back in December) and to my suprise, it accepts it and works! I also tried a spare Voda sim in it and that worked too. So that means my phones unlocked, but i thought O2 lock their payg phones? Maybe it depends on the model and it might also be because i bought it from Phones4U and it has no branding whatsoever apart from the start-up/shutdown logos :)

Every phone I've bought direct from O2 has always been already unlocked. All my Orange phones seem to be locked tho.

the box for mine has a cardboard bit around it with the phone, the O2 logo & Phones4U logo on it. if you slide that off, you are left with the standard samsung box, as if the phone was bought sim-free. that is probably why it's unlocked :)

hmmm well my bro bought a phone staright from 02 (their website and his wasnt unlocked (SE Z520i)

UH it does say that it's for Virgin customers only but hey i put in my 02 number and it still saying their free despite it saying we had to have it ordered by 3rd Feb :s
