I was due to receive an unlock code for my 6680 from vodafone via email, but never got it. I rang them today to see what had happened, and they said they were having problems with getting the codes. She advised me to ring a nokia number, have my imei number handy, and it would provide me with an unlock code! Since my handset is on loan atm I haven't had chance to try it, so anyway, here's the number if anyone wants to try and validate it working 0906 5753636. Let us know the results. This is a premium rate number, charged at approx £1/min from most landlines.

Thats the number for easymobileunlock based in Stockport.
The premium rate number is a Nokia unlock service that generates unlock codes automatically using a DCT4 calc - The same ones that are available for free all over the internet - and as such are unable to generate unlock codes for BB5 handsets (just like everone else).
Im not quite sure why Vodafone are redirecting you to them, but I would be calling Voda back and asking for £££ to refund you for the 5 minutes (@£1.50 p/min) that you just spent on the phone to company that are unable to supply BB5 unlock codes!

Yeah, I'm a bit disgruntled with vodafones advice recently. I'll keep you updated.

Yeah Vodafone have been woefully poor for the last 5 or 6 months, I've had all sorts of silly problems with them lately, I ordered a 30 day contract Sim from them and they sent me 2, so I canceled one of them only to have them cancel both of them cutting me off in the process, after a heated phone call I thought it was all sorted, then I got my first bill which should have been about £25 instead it was 80 odd squid, they'd charged me a reconnection fee on the Sim they'd falsely disconnected, they'd also charged me a partial months line rental on the extra Sim they sent, and only given me part of my months allowance thus charging me for calls and stuff that should have been free grrrrrrrrrr.:anger:
