Try the phone configurator on www.sonyericsson.com - you can get to it via the page about your phone model. Has always worked for me!
If problems persist contact T-Mobile CS, you may need MMS enabled on your account, or they may have some updated settings.

Still get "Sending Failed. Communication Error. Please try again later" after sending the settings off the SE website. I rang them up last night and after been put on hold for about 20mins they just told me "When you get a message, choose yes, turn your phone on and off and then send a picture to yourself". Of course, that didn't work!

i had this problem with my 6230 as im also on t-mobile, we descovered it was due to the mms sevice not being compatable with my sim card, so u may have 2 get an updated sim card wich costs £10, u'll have to contact t-mobile support to get 1 though

OK Alex, you need correct settings - which it sounds like you already have :)
Make sure that they are set properly and are active.
Check...
Messaging>Settings>Picture Message>Message Server
and
Messaging>Settings>Picture Message>Internet Profile
If they are all present, correct and active then you will have to call T-Mobile customer services - again!
Ask them to double check that both MMS and GPRS are active on your account.
Incidentally are you able to connect to WAP (over GPRS)?
The final option is as crazy_lil_al mentioned, you may be using an old incomatible sim card. Ask T-Mobile to check your sim type and if it is an old type, ask for a FREE updated replacement.
The standard replacement charge is £10 but this can be (and very often is) waived, especially in circumstances like your own.
Good luck and let us know how you get on :D

ps - almost forgot - if MMS has been setup recently, it can take up to 24hours to update on the HLR/MLR (system) so give it a while and try again :)

Cheers for the help TD...
Message server is: http://mmsc.t-mobile.co.uk:8002
Internet profile is: Picture Message
That all right?
Something odd just happened tho.. Normally if someone sends me a pic message I get the message and can't open it. Now ive just got a message saying I have a picture message and gave me a code to get it on the internet?
Cheers.

Yes those are both the "alleged" correct settings, but try changing the internet profile one from picture message to t-mobile gprs.
I spoke to a m8 who works at t-mobile about this, about half an hour ago and he said there was a known issue with MMS on the w800i and K750i (only with t-mobile) but as far as he was aware it had been rectified?
He also said you should reset your fone to delete any MMS settings you have received, so you have none at all, then to get the settings from SE website and not from t-mobile.
But first to try chnaging the internet profile as above.
He also said it was a bit hit & miss and you may find that your MMS suddenly starts and stops working for no apparent reason, without you having changed any settings!
I know thats not much use, but give those things a try anyway.
TD.
