Is this movie out yet? Am I late? I dont really care....
I just seen it last nite on one of those spiffy Multi-DVD things..
And its bloody good folks! Bloody good!
Based on the novel of the same name by Bret Easton Ellis, this is a story of drugs, sex, desperation, and suicide at a rich New England College. The tale revolves around the lives of 3 people... Lauren, who wants to lose her virginity to the greatest guy ever but happens to be obsessed with STD's... Paul, a young homosexual chasing the wrong guy, and Sean Bateman... a crazed drug dealer and emotional vampire...
Ok... so it sounds trashy.... but watching how their lives all come together and fall apart through a series of dialogues is a rather spiffy experience..
I only found two things wrong with this movie....
In the book Sean Batemans brother, Patrick, is introduced... who some of you may know from Ellis' other book American Psycho (also made into damn fine movie for you non-book readers) but this was cut out because the American Psycho movie was realeased years ago...
And Paul was Bi-Sexual in the book... minor point... but I pick up on these things....
If you dont get easily embaressed or whatever, go check it out... you could do a lot worse for an hour and a half :D
