Our chat service is very strict. There will often be hosts on chat, with names prefixed with "@", who will take action against anyone who breeches these terms and conditions. You are bound by these terms and conditions whenever you are using the CBFChat rooms, and/or are connected to the CBFChat server.

When you connect to CBFChat your details are logged. For information about the details that we store for security reasons visit our Privacy Statement.

At all times while you are connected to CBFChat, hosts and monitors are able to access your information as in the Privacy Statement. If you violate these terms and conditions then you may be contacted by a host, or your details may be passed to the relevant body, such as your ISP, so action can be taken against you (for example, termination of your account that connects you to the Internet).

Our policy is no swearing, no harassment of other users, and no abuse.

NO SWEARING: You must keep your language clean. In some rooms with an Adult theme, mild swearing may be acceptable. If you're not sure, check with a host. Swearing must NEVER be used in room CBFChat or Support.

NO HARASSMENT OF OTHER USERS: You must not persist to make contact with any user that has expressed they do not want to communicate with you. You must not reveal personally identifiable information about any user, or make claims or comments about their person.

NO ABUSE: This covers abuse to the system and abusive behavior towards any other user. Primarily, repeated connections to CBFChat within a short space of time, "scrolling" (where a user enters many lines into a chat room in a short space of time), and anything else that may affect the performance of the system is strictly prohibited and will result in disconnection and banning from the service.

You can only connect to the CBFChat service from http://www.cbfmobile.com/chat/ using the Java client provided. This is not an IRC network.

You must not give out personal details (for example, email addresses or mobile numbers) over the CBFChat service.

You must not use offensive nicknames or be connected with more than one nickname at the same time.

These rules are not conclusive. You may be informed of other rules while you are connected to the service. If you break a rule, you will normally be notified before any action is taken. However, we reserve the right to disconnect and block you from the service at our discretion without giving a reason.
